Langara Print Media courses offer students the ability to explore a wide variety of media and printing processes. Through the creation of original prints, students are able to integrate historical approaches and contemporary innovations into their work. First Year students are introduced to the basic materials and techniques used in creating editions of prints of various types, while second year courses focus on an in-depth understanding through concentration on a particular media. Courses in Serigraphy (Silkscreen), Intaglio Etching, Relief/Collograph and Plate Lithography are offered on a rotating basis. Students develop skills and proficiency while also developing self-directed projects that reflect individual interests and research.
